Invisalign
You Don't Need to See an Orthodontist To Straighten Your Smile With Invisalign
Another advantage of Invisalign over other orthodontic options is that you don't need to find an orthodontist for treatment. You can come to our Carmel dental practice for all your Invisalign treatment needs.
Even if it turns out that Invisalign isn't the best treatment for you, you may be able to benefit from several other orthodontic options Dr. Lande offers.
SureSmile
SureSmile® is another brand of clear aligners that can discreetly straighten your teeth without brackets and wires.
Six Month Smiles
Six Month Smiles® uses clear wires and tooth-colored brackets to move your teeth into the proper position.
Traditional Braces
This classic orthodontic treatment uses metal brackets and wires to correct mildly to severely misaligned teeth.
Exploring Candidacy Do You Make a Good Invisalign Candidate?
Most patients who want to straighten their smiles make good candidates for Invisalign. During your consultation, Dr. Lande will review your oral health history and cosmetic goals to determine whether Invisalign or another orthodontic treatment is best for you.
Good Invisalign candidates are:
In Good Oral Health
You should be in good oral health and free of any gum disease or tooth decay before starting any orthodontic program, including Invisalign. Dr. Lande can gently treat any outstanding oral health issues right here at our office.
Committed To Treatment
Invisalign aligners must be worn for at least 22 hours a day to produce the best results. Patients need to be committed to this timeline and stick to wearing their aligners as directed, only removing them to eat and brush.
Dealing With Mild to Moderate Misalignment
Invisalign works best for patients with minor to moderate misalignment issues. Patients with severe misalignment may need traditional braces. However, you can begin your treatment with braces and transition to Invisalign to discreetly finish your treatment.

The Invisalign Treatment Timeline
Invisalign uses custom-made aligners to gradually move your teeth into alignment. You will wear your aligners for at least 22 hours each day and switch to a new aligner set about every two weeks. Dr. Lande will go into further detail during your Invisalign consultation so you will know exactly what to expect during your treatment.
Invisalign typically takes 12–18 months to achieve optimal results. During your treatment, you'll wear your clear aligner trays for at least 22 hours a day.
Transformative Results A Straight Smile Can Rejuvenate Your Appearance
Maintain Your Results You Can Have a Straighter, Healthier Smile for Life
Practice Good Oral Hygiene
Continue to brush twice daily and floss once daily following clear aligner treatment. This will prevent plaque and bacteria buildup that can lead to tooth decay, gum disease, and tooth loss, affecting the appearance and health of your smile.
Attend Regular Checkups
Continue to visit our Carmel practice every six months for routine dental cleanings. Dr. Lande can help you prevent any oral health issues and ensure your smile still looks its best.
Wear Your Retainer
Once your Invisalign treatment is over, it can be tempting to forgo wearing your retainer at night. However, the retainer will help keep your teeth in their newly adjusted position, which lets you prevent the need for time-consuming revision orthodontic work.
