Six Month Smiles has two options: clear braces and aligners. Our team will work with you to determine which one is best suited to your smile.
2 Effective Options
The Six Month Smiles system can use either aligners or clear braces to make a cosmetic enhancement to your anterior teeth.
Aligners
Dr. Lande can take digital impressions of your teeth to create clear aligners that are comfortable, discreet, and custom-made for your smile. You will receive a series of aligners that will gradually move each tooth into the proper position over the course of six months.
Braces
Alternatively, our dentist can apply clear brackets and tooth-colored wires to your teeth. During regular appointments throughout your treatment, he will increase the tension of the wires to gently move specific teeth into their proper positions.

Dental Goals
Six Month Smiles is designed to straighten the teeth that show when you smile. If you have slightly crooked, gapped, or crowded front teeth, Six Month Smiles may be suitable for you. However, if you have an overbite, underbite, crossbite, or other serious alignment issues, you may need to consider another form of orthodontic treatment like braces.
Commitment to Treatment
If you choose the aligner system, you will have to be committed to your care. Aligner systems like Invisalign and Six Month Smiles require that the patient wears their aligners for 20-22 hours each day. Failure to do so can lengthen your treatment timeline. You will be responsible for wearing your aligners and ensuring the best results.
Age
Six Month Smiles is only recommended for dental patients who are 16 and older because these patients can be responsible as they undergo treatment. If your child is younger than 16, our dentist may recommend braces or another orthodontic treatment.
